Japan's Next Top Model?

Here are some pictures from a photo shoot Shuma did a few weeks back. It was just a freebie offered by a new photographer, so he's not famous quite yet. Actually, he may never be as he wasn't very professional, needing several snack breaks and pulling a tantrum when we tried to take the balloons away. And frankly, his Blue Steel needs some work.

I'm not even kidding, he really doesn't seem like model material: the picture the photographer chose to put on her website is the third one down, where he is facing *away* from the camera (I'm assuming his dirty feet will be airbrushed). Also, don't ask me what's going on with the skateboard outfit, because I don't know.

I think he would be wonderful as a model - the tantrums are the photographer's problem, it's the resulting pictures that count.

I've been reading your blog for many years now, although I'm more of a lurker than a commenter. ^__^;

As I couldn't find your e-mail address anywhere I thought I'd ask you in a comment instead.
I'm currently asking foreign women living in Japan who have experience with dating Japanese men or are even married to one about their experiences.

Although I've been in Japan for 6 years now I lack experience, but my blog readers have asked me about it several times. So in stead of talking about something I have no clue about, I thought I'd interview people who have.

If you're interested in sharing your experience in dating or being in a relationship with a Japanese man, that would be great.
Just a few short sentences would be enough.
Any cultural differences or difficulties you have encountered in the early years of your relationship, for example.
